Welcome to the ATLauncher website. This is the main point of contact to download the ATLauncher, get information about the ATLauncher and the packs in it as well as get some help. We at ATLauncher do not make any of these packs which makes what we do very unique. We help others get ModPacks out there and in the hands of the public. So why not take a look at the different public packs that are available or just Download the ATLauncher and give a try yourself.
If you're still unsure about us, then visit our about page to get a list of features. ATLauncher is written in English only, and through community translations, we're looking to increase the number of languages that ATLauncher has, so that people can choose to use the launcher in their native language. All translations and languages added to the launcher, which are not the base English language, public policy advisory all community driven, and anyone is free to contribute, if you choose to.
If you wish to help out with the translation effort, please visit our Crowdin page. If you have any issues or questions, please let us know in our Discord server. Version 3. First there is now a Servers tab on the launcher. New servers that you create through the launcher will now show up in the Servers tab and will allow you to launcher, backup and delete servers.
No more will you need to go into the folder manually and figure out how to run the server you just created. While most people will probably want to run servers on another computer or host, this allows those wanting quick and simple servers running in minutes. The second feature is the ability to install Curse modpacks within ATLauncher. While ATLauncher is, and always will be about showcasing community packs built on the platform, Curse is a major platform with a lot of packs.
Trying to ignore Curse is a futile task, so we've added the ability to install packs within ATLauncher. There will not be an interface to browse and install packs like there is for ATLauncher packs, but this feature will allow for users who wish to just install and play the odd pack from Curse directly within ATLauncher, without the need for another launcher.
If you find any issues with these new features, or have any feedback, please let us know in our Discord server.Note that the downloads in the list below are for getting a specific version of Forge. Later, Twitch bought Curse and merged their desktop application with Curse's voice client, bringing us to the Twitch Launcher. Did you use this instructable in your classroom? Add a Teacher Note to share how you incorporated it into your lesson. When you've downloaded it, run it and sign in with either Twitch or Curse. If you don't have either of those accounts, there is a link to create an account on the sign in page.
When you've signed in, click on the Mods tab up at the top and install the Minecraft plugin. This will allow you to make and download modpacks with ease. And now you see all of you modpacks! You don't see anything there? Well, that's because you haven't made or downloaded any! Let's go make one now. Up at the top there's a button that says "Create Custom Profile". When you click on it, the "Create Profile" screen will pop up. Here you'll name it and pick the Minecraft version you want to play with.
Name it whatever you want, then pick your Minecraft version. The modloader should just be left as it is. Click Okay when you're ready to move on. Your modpack should now appear in your Mods screen.
Try running it and then come back here for the next step. There's no mods, you say? Well, that's because we haven't added any! If you click on your modpack, it should look like this. Click on "Get Mods". From here you can search most mods and add them to your modpack by rolling over it and clicking install.
The reason I say "most mods" is because mods that aren't hosted on Curseforge probably won't appear here. I'll cover those mods at the end of this Instuctable.
And that's pretty much it! On the next step I have some recommended starter mods for those that are new to the modded scene. JourneyMap: I personally don't like playing open-world type games without some form of easy navigation.
JourneyMap adds a very simple minimap and waypoint system to the game so you can easily keep track of where you are and where other points of interest are. Iron Chests: For those that just don't have enough storage. Iron Chests adds chests that can be upgraded with metals, from iron all the way to obsidian.
Inventory Tweaks: This is more of a personal favorite, but this makes organization so much easier. A simple middle click will sort the inventory you are currently hovering over, while pressing R will sort your player inventory.
It shows every item that is in the game, how to make it, and what it's used in. It's also useful for mapmakers that use specific spawners, because it allows the player to have any item by enabling "cheat mode".
The 15 Best Minecraft Mods
If you can hit the block or mob, Waila will show a small window at the top of the screen with the block or mob's name. If it's a mob, it will also show the mob's health.Minecraft works just fine right out of the box, but tweaking and extending the game with mods can radically change the experience.
Some mods are great for brand new players and seasoned veterans alike, while others are aimed squarely at breathing new life into the game after you have already seen everything that the basic game has to offer. With a never-ending spigot of mods from a tremendously talented and dedicated fan base, you can always find something new to do or see in Minecraft. If you are brand new to Minecraft, we highly suggest checking out the basic game first to get a feel for it, and then add mods over time to make things easier, prettier, and finally to totally change up the entire experience.
However, they only work with Minecraft: Java Edition. If you're playing a version of the game like Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition, or any console or mobile version, you have to buy skins, modpacks, and other content from the in-game store. Mods for the Java version of the game do not work with any other version. Installing Minecraft mods is pretty easyespecially with the help of Minecraft Forgebut mods aren't always compatible with each other, and individual mods aren't always compatible with the latest version of the game.
OptiFine is a behind-the-scenes mod that improves and optimizes the graphics of Minecraft so that the game runs as smoothly, and looks as great, as it possibly can on your computer. This is the best mod to grab, and the first one you should download, if you care about visuals and smooth gameplay. If you're brand new to Minecraft, it's just fine to install this mod right away.
All it does is make the game look better and run more smoothly. You can safely ignore most of the features, which can be overwhelming, until you've spent more time in the game. Download from OptiFine. What It Does Journeymap implements a beautiful world map that is generated automatically as you play. It includes a minimap that shows up in the upper right corner of the screen while you're playing, but you can also open up a full-screen map to view the entire world that you have explored up to that point.
While it's worth playing Minecraft without this mod to start just to get a feel of how the game is meant to work, adding this mod makes for a much better experience even for complete beginners.
Download from Minecraft Forum. What It Does Chest Transporter is a mod that lets you pick up and move chests, even if they're full of items. This is pretty basic in comparison to a lot of the other mods on this list, but it's also tremendously useful. Without the help of a mod, moving a chest even one block in any direction is a tedious, multi-step process that looks something like:. This mod is all about convenience. If you've found yourself getting tired of the hassle of dealing with full chests, then grab this mod to make your life a whole lot easier.
Download from CurseForge. What It Does Just Enough Items allows you to immediately pull up some vital information about any crafting material or crafted item in the game.
The biggest benefit of this mod is that you no longer have to experiment with random combinations, or search the internet, to figure out how to craft anything.
However, it's also useful in creative mode, since it makes it easier to locate and place new items in the world.During these challenging times, we guarantee we will work tirelessly to support you.
